This Is Us. Just the Two of Us.

Hello, everyone, and welcome to Rough & Rigid! We’re so glad you’re here. Let us introduce ourselves—we are Brad and Dawn Easley, the husband-and-wife team behind this labor of love. Our journey began in the garage of our home in a small town in Kansas, where what started as a simple hobby soon turned into something much bigger than we ever could have imagined.

Before Rough & Rigid became our full-time passion, I worked as an electrician, and Dawn was a Human Resource Manager. Life was steady, comfortable—but as it often does, life had a surprise in store for us. One day, we received a phone call that would change everything. The request? To build a custom fire pit for none other than Patrick Mahomes. At that moment, we had no idea just how much that single project would alter the course of our lives. The response was overwhelming, and before we knew it, what had once been a garage hobby had grown into a thriving business.

Now, we are proud to say that Rough & Rigid is our full-time endeavor, and we pour our hearts into creating high-quality, custom-made fire pits that are built to last. Our goal is simple but deeply meaningful—we want to provide you with a fire pit that becomes the centerpiece of countless memories. Whether it’s for family gatherings, late-night conversations with friends, or quiet moments under the stars, we believe a great fire pit brings people together in the best way possible.

We are beyond thrilled to ship our products anywhere in the U.S.A., ensuring that anyone who wants a Rough & Rigid fire pit can have one. But fire pits aren’t the only thing we love to create. In the fall, we have a special passion project—bringing new life to forgotten and discarded items. We transform old gas cans, milk jugs, toolboxes, and more into forever pumpkins, quirky monsters, and unique décor pieces. Each one has its own story, and just like our fire pits, they are made to last. When we’re not busy in the shop, you’ll find us spending time with our daughters, Ashley, Chandley, and Emma. We are also lucky to have our son-in-law, Alec, who lends a helping hand in the shop whenever we need extra support—you can often catch him putting together our polywood furniture. Family is everything to us, and we love traveling together, exploring new places, and taking in the beauty this world has to offer. Some of our favorite pastimes include trail riding, gathering with friends around a crackling fire, and making the most of every moment we share.

One of our greatest joys in life is being grandparents to our sweet grandson, Everton. He absolutely loves spending time in the shop with his Papa and Cookie, watching as we create fire pits and unique pieces. Whether he's "helping" by handing us tools or just observing with curiosity and excitement, seeing his little hands eager to learn makes every project even more special. Sharing this journey with him and passing down the love of craftsmanship is something we cherish deeply.
