This 30 inch Fire Pit lid is made from heavy duty 11 gauge steel and weighs 24 pounds. This fire Pit lid serves two purposes. The first is to keep the inside of your fire pit mostly dry from rain and moisture. Water sitting in a fire pit for long periods of time is the first thing that ruins any fire pit. The best purpose of the fire Pit lid is peace of mind. Simply place the fire pit lid on the fire to keep embers from popping out. Whether you're wrapping up a night by the fire or bracing for incoming rain, this fire pit lid has you covered. Check out our Tilting Fire Pits and Hanging Fire Pits.

Respect the Rust!! Once your Fire Pit lid is exposed to the elements it will form a layer of oxidation just as your fire pit will. This is a natural process that takes place over time .We recommend spraying the exterior of the lid seasonally with avocado oil to create a dark rich chocolate patina.

FAQ section

What makes Rough & Rigid fire pits different from other fire pit?

All our fire pits are handmade in the USA using 1/4 inch carbon steel from upcycled propane tanks, not flimsy store bought metal fire pit. The heavy duty quality steel allows our fire pits to withstand extreme heat and last a lifetime. Our hanging tripod fire pits brings the wow factor to any backyard with the fire pit bowl suspended by three log chains from a strong rugged metal tripod, a fire pit lid for safety and a cooking chain for cooking sets this fire pit apart from any other fire pit on the market. Unlike mass produced fire pits, ours are handcrafted with precision and designed for durability, function and style.

Are your product made in the USA?

Yes!! Every firepit is proudly made in the USA. We are a small husband and wife team and we make each firepit upon order. Supporting our business means supporting American craftsmanship and our Midwest family dream.

Are these fire pits gas or wood burning?

All of our fire pits are wood burning. We have had customers convert theirs to gas however you would need to hire a licensed plumber to do this.

Does the bowl need an air hole for venilation?

No. The contour of the bowl pulls the oxygen down making it easy to light and maintain your fire.
