Chain handles are welded to the fire pit making it easier to move to different locations. Respect the Rust! Once your fire pit is exposed to the elements it will form a layer of oxidation. This layer protects and seals the metal. We Recommend spraying the exterior of the lid, fire pit and base seasonally with avocado oil to create a dark rich chocolate patina.
